Summary
An own-initiative report on strengthening the internal market's competitiveness by developing the EU customs union and its governance. Amendments cover the Trade Facilitation Agreement and the WTO, the customs union as a source of EU resources, the Union Customs Code and its IT infrastructure, digitalisation, divergent national controls and 'forum shopping', training of customs agents, counterfeiting, cooperation with OLAF, and the UK's withdrawal (Brexit).
