Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): WEBER Renate (ALDE)
Summary
This own-initiative report concerns the role of employee financial participation (EFP) in creating jobs and reactivating the unemployed. Amendments describe EFP models such as profit sharing, individual employee share ownership and employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), stress that the choice depends on company characteristics and national taxation rules and should remain voluntary, and add that EFP must not replace fair pay or acquired social rights.
