Summary

The dossier concerns the nuclear decommissioning assistance programme for the Ignalina nuclear power plant in Lithuania. Amendments revise recitals and provisions on Lithuania's commitment under Protocol 4 of the 2003 Act of Accession to close the RBMK reactor units, the dismantling and decontamination objectives and radiological safety, spent fuel and a deep geological repository, dissemination of knowledge, the financial envelope and the Union co-financing rate.
