Summary
An own-initiative report on a new skills agenda for Europe. The amendments stress the strategic importance of skills, digital literacy and basic skills for growth, employability and social cohesion, recall Member States' responsibility for education and vocational training under the Treaty, cite the right to vocational training and lifelong learning, note over- and under-qualification of the workforce, and link skills needs to the green and circular economy.
