Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): ŠTEFANEC Ivan (PPE)
Summary
A regulation on mutual recognition of goods lawfully marketed in another Member State. The amendments draw on Court of Justice case-law and Articles 34 and 36 of the Treaty, the concept of overriding reasons of public interest, the mutual recognition declaration filled in by producers or economic operators, single-market clauses in national technical rules, agricultural and fisheries products, the Single Digital Gateway, and replace the earlier Regulation (EC) No 764/2008.
