Summary
A recast directive on the quality of water intended for human consumption. Amendments revise parametric values and monitoring requirements for microbiological and chemical parameters—including E. coli, enterococci, PFAS, boron, trihalomethanes, lead and aluminium—adjust sampling frequencies in the compliance tables, and add a watch list covering endocrine disruptors and microplastics.
