Summary

Legislative proposal on posting drivers in the road transport sector. Amendments rework recitals and provisions on drivers' working conditions, social protection and fair competition between national and foreign operators, with many seeking to exempt transit and international transport from the posting rules of Directive 96/71/EC and 2014/67/EU and addressing cabotage, smart tachographs and enforcement.
