Summary

Budget dossier on Parliament's 2017 estimates of revenue and expenditure (Section I). Amendments question the proposed overall increase over the 2016 budget and the inflation assumption, call for savings, rigour and efficiency, address extraordinary expenditure for security and cyber security and the phasing out of the Irish-language derogation, management of parliamentary assistance allowances, linguistic diversity, medium and long-term budgetary planning, and presenting the budget transparently to citizens on Parliament's website.
