Summary

This dossier concerns new psychoactive substances and the information exchange, early warning system and risk assessment procedure. Amendments revise recitals and provisions on cross-border health threats, monitoring and early warning, the roles of the Reitox National Focal Points, Europol National Units and the Centre, risk assessments, the involvement of criminal groups in manufacture and distribution, commercial, industrial and scientific uses, and information from agencies such as the European Chemicals Agency.
