EU resettlement framework
This file establishing an EU resettlement framework follows the ordinary legislative procedure, in which Parliament and the Council decide together to produce binding EU law. It was handled by the Foreign Affairs, Budgets, and Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs committees, under subjects of asylum, refugees and displaced persons, the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund, and migration policy. The tabled amendments set out annual Union resettlement plans and targeted schemes for third-country nationals and stateless persons in need of international protection, an expedited procedure with security checks, data storage limits, cooperation with UNHCR, and humanitarian admission, while the Foreign Affairs committee proposes rejecting the Commission's revision. It shares subjects such as migration policy with related files including the Crisis and force majeure Regulation.

Plenary votes
3 roll-call votesIn plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
