Summary
Own-initiative report on implementing the cohesion-policy objective of enhancing the competitiveness of SMEs under the Common Provisions Regulation. Amendments frame cohesion policy as the main tool for investment in growth and jobs, highlight that SMEs account for around 99% of EU businesses, reference the COSME programme and late payment, and address access to finance, internationalisation, microcredit and start-ups amid rising poverty and youth unemployment.
