Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): GUALTIERI Roberto (S&D)
Summary
This annual report concerns the Banking Union. The amendments revise citations and recitals on the Banking Union as a building block of Economic and Monetary Union, breaking the link between banks and sovereigns, the Single Rulebook, the Single Resolution Fund, and supervision under the SSM, with paragraphs urging that government bonds carry regulatory capital requirements, that supervisors look beyond credit risk, and addressing off-balance-sheet exposures of globally systemically important banks.
