Summary
This dossier reports on the application of the Council Directive implementing the revised Framework Agreement on parental leave. The amendments address the Europe 2020 employment-rate target for women, work-life balance, low take-up of parental leave by fathers, non-transferable and properly paid leave, childcare facilities, the gender pay gap, demographic challenges and declining birth rates, citing Eurofound research and the Charter of Fundamental Rights.
