Summary
Own-initiative report on protecting the EU's financial interests towards performance-based controls of the common agricultural policy. Amendments address the cost and bureaucracy of CAP controls, the error rate determined by the Court of Auditors in direct payments, cross-compliance and greening, simplification of the CAP, paying agencies, the single audit scheme, defining best and worst performing Member States, and e-government to reduce errors.
