Summary
This own-initiative report reviews prospects for the EU dairy sector and implementation of the "dairy package". The amendments emphasise price volatility, the Russian embargo, the end of milk quotas, farm-gate prices below production costs, a financial instrument for small producers, a Milk Market Observatory with crisis levels and early-warning mechanisms, and follow-up reporting on market and instrument effectiveness.
