European Central Bank (ECB): powers to impose sanctions

The dossier concerns the European Central Bank's (ECB) powers to impose sanctions. Amendments address publication of decisions imposing administrative pecuniary penalties and sanctions for breaches of Union law and of ECB regulations or decisions, the separation between supervisory and monetary tasks, periodic penalty payments and turnover-based limits, judicial review by the Court of Justice, allocation of proceeds, and international dialogue with supervisory authorities outside the Union.
