Relations between the European Parliament and the national parliaments

The dossier concerns relations between the European Parliament and the national parliaments. The amendments revise recitals on the principle of sincere cooperation between the Union and Member States, Article 12 TEU and the role of national parliaments, the principles of conferral, subsidiarity and proportionality, and democratic legitimacy and accountability, extending some references to regional parliaments with legislative powers and to political dialogue with the European institutions, with several deletions.
