Summary
An own-initiative report on improving private international law and jurisdiction rules applicable to employment. The amendments stress protecting the weaker party and preventing forum shopping, reference the Brussels I Regulation including its recast, and call on the Commission to propose amendments creating an exclusive forum for industrial-action disputes and allowing employees to sue employers where they are domiciled.
