Summary
An own-initiative report on making the internal energy market work. The amendments concentrate on national capacity-remuneration mechanisms and the need for EU-level coordination and cross-border solutions, demand-side management, storage and interconnection, the Member States' right to choose their energy mix (including renewables and nuclear), security of supply and import dependence on third countries, energy solidarity, and the Commission's role in strategic infrastructure.
