Summary
The own-initiative report is the 2011 annual report on the protection of the EU's financial interests and the fight against fraud. The amendments address irregularities and fraud affecting the EU budget and recovery of unduly paid resources, the reform of the European Anti-Fraud Office and cooperation with third countries, smuggling of cigarettes and alcohol along the Eastern border, customs and VAT fraud, tax evasion, and corruption.
