Summary
The dossier concerns women's rights in the Balkan accession countries. Amendments call to make women's rights central to accession negotiations with the Western Balkans, to mainstream gender equality through the enlargement process and the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance, to address women's under-representation in the labour market and decision-making, gender quotas, double discrimination of Roma women, human trafficking, and women's role in peace and reconciliation, citing UN Security Council Resolution 1325.
