Summary
An own-initiative report on the situation of women in North Africa. The amendments urge equal access to education, justice, public life and labour markets, the elimination of discrimination against women in legislation, women's participation in constitutional and political transition following the 'Arab Spring' in Egypt, Libya, Tunisia and Morocco, action against the gender pay gap and sexual violence, and cite international conventions including CEDAW.
