Summary
This own-initiative report responds to the Council's annual report on the common foreign and security policy. Amendments restate the EU's foreign-policy aims of peace, security, democracy, human rights and gender equality, reference the Lisbon Treaty, the UN Charter and Security Council resolutions on women, peace and security, and rework the assessment of relations with Russia, including the rule of law, Syria, Iran and parliamentary scrutiny.
