Summary
This dossier amends Parliament's Rules of Procedure, Rule 70, on interinstitutional negotiations in legislative procedures. The amendments set out the decision by the committee responsible to open negotiations, majority requirements and adoption of a mandate, the composition and chairing of the negotiating team including the rapporteur and shadow rapporteurs, the advance circulation of documents for trilogues, the announcement and possible plenary vote, and the handling of compromises with the Council.
