Summary
This own-initiative report concerns critical information infrastructure protection and steps towards global cyber-security. Amendments stress trust, security and resilience of ICT networks, data privacy and intellectual property rights, the review of the European critical infrastructure directive and its possible extension to the ICT and financial sectors, minimum resilience standards, the role of ENISA and national and EU CERTs, public-private cooperation, and national contingency plans.
