Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): KIIL-NIELSEN Nicole (Verts/ALE)
Summary
An own-initiative report on women and climate change. Amendments stress the gender-differentiated effects of climate change, women's disproportionate vulnerability and unequal access to resources, land, credit and decision-making, their role as agents of change in mitigation, adaptation and disaster-risk reduction, links to migration and displacement, family planning, 'climate justice', and gender mainstreaming in sustainable-development and climate policies.
