Role of cohesion policy in the outermost regions of the European Union in the context of EU 2020

An own-initiative report on the role of cohesion policy in the outermost regions in the context of EU 2020. The amendments invoke Article 349 of the Treaty and these regions' specific handicaps, criticise proposed cuts to cohesion and outermost-region funding under the Multiannual Financial Framework, call for differentiated treatment, higher co-financing rates, support for SMEs, research, integration into the digital single market and broadband, and address climate change.
