Summary
This dossier is a report on freedom of press and media in the world. The amendments affirm freedom of expression as a universal human right and basis of democracy, address restrictions justified only under strict conditions, the press and journalists as watchdogs and human rights defenders, threats and imprisonment of journalists, media pluralism and ownership concentration, net neutrality, and digital and online media platforms.
