Summary
An own-initiative report on energy infrastructure priorities for 2020 and beyond. The amendments call for upgrading and modernising EU energy grids, smart and super grids, interconnections and energy storage to integrate renewables, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve energy efficiency, and address fossil-fuel subsidies, environmental impact assessments, permit-granting procedures, carbon leakage and public acceptance.
