Summary
This own-initiative dossier concerns the EU strategy for Central Asia. The amendments call for differentiated, conditional EU engagement tied to progress on human rights, democratisation, good governance, the rule of law and the fight against corruption, support opening fully-fledged EU delegations, human rights dialogues with the five countries, engagement with independent civil society and NGOs, energy and trade cooperation, and security including counter-terrorism and trafficking.
