Summary

A legislative proposal establishing the European Border Surveillance System (Eurosur). Amendments address information exchange and operational cooperation between national authorities, the Agency and Frontex at external land and sea borders, protection of fundamental rights under the Charter, migrants and refugees in distress at sea, identification of persons in need of international protection, data protection rules, budgetary and staff resources for the Agency, and subsidiarity.
