Summary
Legislative proposal on the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA II) 2014-2020. Amendments revise recitals and objectives on assistance to candidate countries and potential candidates against the Copenhagen criteria, adding emphasis on human rights, minority rights, gender equality, freedom of the press and persons with disabilities, civil society participation, performance reserves and conditions where a beneficiary country violates the principles on which the Union is founded.
