Macro-financial assistance (MFA) to third countries: general provisions

This dossier concerns general provisions on macro-financial assistance (MFA) to third countries. Amendments revise provisions on aligning assistance with the Union's external action, supporting beneficiary countries' commitment to democracy, the rule of law and human rights, assistance taking the form of a loan, the Commission's delegated and implementing powers, the European External Action Service, a Memorandum of Understanding with country-specific measures, and consistency with partnership, cooperation or association agreements.
