Single market for enterprises and growth
"Single market for enterprises and growth" is an own-initiative report, through which Parliament sets out its own non-binding position on a subject. It was handled by committees including Economic and Monetary Affairs, Internal Market and Consumer Protection and International Trade, covering public procurement, SMEs and the free movement of services. The tabled amendments press for coherence between the Union's internal and external policies, ex ante sustainable impact assessments in trade agreements, action against piracy and counterfeiting, transparency in public procurement especially for SMEs, and simpler accounting and administrative burdens; some invoke the EU 2020 strategy, the Monti report and a common consolidated corporate tax base. It shares subjects such as SMEs and e-commerce with related files including "European agenda for the collaborative economy".
