Summary
This own-initiative report concerns the future European international investment policy. Amendments stress that EU investment policy and treaties should serve development goals in developing countries, balance investor protection with the host state's right to regulate, include clauses on human rights, the environment and decent work, address corporate social responsibility and bilateral investment treaties, and several oppose investor-state dispute settlement.
