Summary
A proposal to mobilise the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund for redundancies in the machinery sector (Linak) in Denmark. Amendments address using unused European Social Fund appropriations as an alternative source of payments, the EGF as a separate instrument with its own objectives and deadlines, and shortcomings in implementing the framework programmes on competitiveness and innovation during an economic crisis.
