Summary
An annual report from the Council on the main aspects and basic choices of the common foreign and security policy in 2009. The amendments address the EU's foreign policy objectives of peace, security and human rights, the momentum created by the Lisbon Treaty, strategic partnerships with the United States and emerging actors, parliamentary scrutiny, the High Representative, and coherence between the European External Action Service, Member States and Commission.
