Summary
The dossier is 'GDP and beyond - Measuring progress in a changing world'. Amendments argue GDP is an inadequate measure of welfare and should be complemented with social and environmental indicators, distinguish growth from development, reference the Stiglitz-Sen-Fitoussi report and the Commission's five proposed actions, and discuss harmonised statistics, the Europe 2020 strategy, regional imbalances, and the role of developing countries.
