Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): PARVANOVA Antonyia (ALDE)
Summary
This own-initiative report concerns the social integration of women belonging to ethnic minority groups. The amendments instead address advertising and marketing, condemning discriminatory gender-stereotyped or violent messages and the portrayal of women as objects, their effect on self-esteem and on disorders such as anorexia and bulimia, and call on the Commission, Member States and media to promote gender equality, media literacy and a role for the EIGE.
