Integrated maritime policy (IMP) - Evaluation of progress made and new challenges

This own-initiative report evaluates progress and new challenges of the integrated maritime policy (IMP). The amendments address coherence between sectoral maritime policies, the maritime strategy framework directive, maritime governance and spatial planning, the role of island and outermost regions, lessons from the Gulf of Mexico oil spill and offshore oil and gas safety and environmental liability, funding of the IMP, short sea shipping, and working conditions of seafarers.
