Summary

This own-initiative report concerns delivering a single market to consumers and citizens. The amendments address obstacles such as lack of information, fragmented regulation and poor transposition, over-regulation affecting SMEs and micro-entities, low cross-border mobility of workers and services, the link between the single market and policy areas such as health and the environment, the EU 2020 Strategy, and concerns over economic protectionism and fragmentation following the crisis.
