Summary
The dossier concerns the European Investigation Order in criminal matters, an initiative of Belgium, Bulgaria, Estonia, Spain, Austria, Slovenia and Sweden. The amendments revise provisions on mutual recognition between Member States' judicial systems, grounds for refusing an EIO including immunities and breaches of the Charter of Fundamental Rights, legal remedies, personal data protection, the issuing and executing authorities, and measures such as video hearings, bank-account information and controlled deliveries.
