Summary
Recast proposal on statistical returns for the carriage of goods by road. The amendments revise provisions requiring Member States to compile statistics on goods road transport, set a publication deadline for the data, and add data items such as the Euro emission class and tachograph type of vehicles, average use of load capacity and overloading, controls on driving and rest times, and serious accidents involving lorries.
