Summary
This own-initiative report concerns corporate and social responsibility in international trade agreements. The amendments cite voluntary frameworks such as the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, the UN Global Compact, the ILO declaration and ISO 26000, and address whether corporate social responsibility should remain voluntary or be enforceable, the liability of European companies for environmental and social damage abroad, due diligence, supply chains, and references to CSR in trade agreements.
