Summary
An own-initiative report drawing lessons from the financing instrument for development cooperation and its future perspectives. The amendments stress poverty eradication and the Millennium Development Goals, the role of local authorities, non-state actors and civil society through the Structured Dialogue, democratic scrutiny of Commission implementing powers, fragmentation of instruments for Africa, ODA criteria, the European Development Fund, tax reforms and good governance, and policy coherence on migration.
