Summary

The dossier concerns customs cooperation through the use of information technology for customs purposes, on a French initiative. Amendments include rejecting the initiative and revise provisions on cooperation between customs administrations, the Customs Information System and the customs files identification database, exchange of personal data, cooperation with Europol and Eurojust, suggested actions (surveillance, specific checks, operational analysis), data-retention periods, and supervision by the European Data Protection Supervisor.
