This is the annual report on human rights in the world 2008 and the EU's policy on the matter. Amendments address human-rights clauses in agreements with third countries, 'countries of particular concern', the CFSP, the International Criminal Court and the Rome Statute, the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue 2008, the rights of indigenous peoples and Roma, freedom of religion, and ratification of UN and Council of Europe human-rights conventions.
