Summary
This own-initiative report concerns better schools and an agenda for European cooperation. The amendments address cooperation among national education systems, the role of schools in social development and active citizenship, benchmarks, equity and quality, early school leaving and disadvantaged groups including Roma children and children of immigrants, pre-primary education, foreign-language and ICT learning, school violence, racism and xenophobia, teacher authority, and the financing of different kinds of schools.
