Summary

An own-initiative report on protecting consumers, in particular minors, in the use of video games. Amendments promote the PEGI and PEGI Online age-rating systems, call on Member States to restrict the sale of violent games to minors and to sanction retailers, address game addiction and excessive use, awareness campaigns for parents and teachers, age-verification solutions, and a pan-European code of conduct.
