Summary
This own-initiative dossier concerns the evaluation and future development of the Frontex Agency and the EUROSUR border surveillance system. The amendments address the management of external borders and combating illegal immigration, respect for asylum, non-refoulement and fundamental rights, sea rescue operations, cooperation agreements with third countries including Libya and Turkey, training of border staff, parliamentary scrutiny of Frontex, and links with Eurosur.
